Illusion

This is my first attempt at drawing a full changeling. I admit I darkened the wings more than I had liked, and some of the colors didn't come out as well as the others, but give me a break, I don't have a scanner and I lack photoshop.

Anyway.

Me: *Clears throat* This is, Illusion, my changeling OC, who will be co-staring in my first mlp fanfict; say hello, Illusion.

Illusion: .....*Blink*

Me: Oh right, I forgot to mention, she's mute; which is what makes her so special! Unlike most, Illusion shares her thoughts and feelings through her actions, rather than her words, right?

Illusion: *nods*

Me: Right! So here's how it goes, while most changelings leave the hive to take the place of other ponies, those who are handicapped stay behind; mainly due to the fact that they cannot blend in as well as their siblings, because it's harder for them to find others who shares their conditions. Thus they remain at the hive, under the protective care of their loving mother, Chrysalis, caring for their newborn siblings, or tending to the hive.

Illusion: *Waves*

Me: But during the Canterlot invasion, almost all the changelings where taken to invade, leaving only a hoof full behind to care for the newborns. It was her first time out in the world, but sadly, after their crushing defeat, she and her family were expelled from the city, and she ended up crashing into a field, where she was found by a traveling circus. Now most changelings could easily escape, but due to her low energy levels, lack of social skills, and inability to hide effectively, she was trapped at the circus, a prisoner.

Crest: That's where I come in!

Illusion: XD *hugs Crest*

Me: Right, Crest comes to Illusion's aid and now cares for her in secret, which is a good thing for Illusion, cause she doesn't know much about the outside world, aside from what her mother or siblings have told her.

Illusion: ?

Me: And it's also great for Crest, due to the fact that he has no friends.

Crest: Don't rub it in. T-T

Me: But what will their unlikely friendship bring about?

Crest: Stay tuned to find out in, "The Amazing Adventures of Crest and Illusion!" XD

Illusion: *Holds up banner* XD

Me: It's, "The Citadel of Change" and you know it.

Crest: Hard flank.

Illusion: XP

Also I do not own anything regarding My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic, they all belong to their respective owners.

Edit years later. *sigh* I lost most of my story and I only have little bits of it here and there. It was fun writing it, but hard for me to recreate, and I never got to post any of it. It makes me so sad. TT-TT
